A year ago today, a single gunman entered Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 20 children and 6 adults. The loss of those lives was devastating to their families, their community, their country, and in truth the entire world. Remembering this unspeakable tragedy is so very painful that most of us, try to push it from our brains.
Still, those within the community must deal with the grief and loss on a daily basis and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives. I firmly believe that the 26 souls are firmly within God’s loving embrace and are infinitely okay. If you share this faith, please join me in a moment of prayer for the loved ones they left behind whose pain will never be fully quenched until they are reunited in God’s Kingdom.
I’ve gotten to the post late but I did spend a few quiet moments that day remembering them. Such a travesty!
